Scrub Apple Farms is the home of
Lee-El Morgans. We offer to the discriminating persons,
breeding services and the sale of well bred Morgan horses.
We want everyone who wishes, to have the pleasure of
being "owned" by a good Morgan horse.
HISTORY
My daughter, Ellen, and I started Lee-El Morgans
in 1983 on a one half acre plot and a rented pasture
on Mohonk Mountain outside of New Paltz, New York. We
started out with two foundation mares, Patura's Dark
Sage and Whippoorwill Pavan -- both strong in Flyhawk
blood. The stallion chosen for these good mares, Meadow's
Phoenix, came from Meadowhaven Morgan Farm in Raleigh,
North Carolina. Bred by Lucy Redman and her son, Dan,
He too is strong in Flyhawk blood.
